Phoebe Kiburi

Phoebe Kiburi is a Senior Consultant at Axum with experience advising governments, development agencies and private sector actors across health financing, inclusive economic development and gender equity.
Her work has included mapping Kenya’s health and health financing landscape, analyzing gendered barriers to healthcare access, and contributing to the development of Universal Health Coverage learning frameworks adaptable across African countries. She has also supported projects on equitable COVID-19 vaccine distribution and worked with pharmaceutical partners on market entry and access strategies for HIV prevention and novel therapeutics in low- and middle-income countries.
Prior to joining Axum, Phoebe worked at Nivi Inc., where she supported reproductive health marketing initiatives, and gained client-facing experience at Equity Bank. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Global Health from Duke University.
